[edit] Bounce Back Talk
I'm more concerned with how bad he is. You'd think after an hour he'd at least master the technique of throwing the ball so it bounces back to him. In fact, how is it even physically possible for him to be that close to the wall and throw it in such a way that it curves downward and just barely bonks its way off the wall so he has no way of catching it?
Wait, what? Someone actually has a problem with someone going out and doing something active, getting fresh air and exercise rather than staying inside and playing video games!?
Plus, what does she care what some kid does? What are they even doing there that they're spending an hour watching what the kid does? Archie's right. Veronica has issues.
[edit] I Stink, Therefore I Am!
Oh, okay. So the lasagna is pink for a totally different reason.
I mean, seriously, what happened? Did the guy who does colours just look at the panel and see the strawberry comment and say "Oh, it must be a strawberry lasagna. Those wacky guys," and then totally miss the obvious stink lines and Archie's mom saying "That's Archie" in the same panel, and also ignore the dialogue in the next two panels on the same page explaining that Archie is wearing a strawberry scented cologne?
It could just be a random coincidental error, but I really do wonder.
[edit] Give the Public What It Wants
Damnit, Jughead! I got the joke just fine without your help.
[edit] Contest Rewards
..why are there two little Betties? I can't help but wonder what led to this mishap. Did the writer accidentally put Betty's name twice and everyone just went along with it? Was one of them written as a different character but the illustrator accidentally drew Betty twice? Were the voice balloons mismatched? I'll probably never know.
Oh. Also, when taken out of context, this looks like the comic is about child labour. Hee hee.
[edit] The Pad Fad
Blue Veronica is certainly excited.
Oh to be a delusional teenager again.
...Archie just told his dad he's "tops". Have the writers not checked their calendars for the last fifty years? Nobody talks like that anymore!
Also, his mom's line about how she's worried about Archie is not only right in front of him as if he isn't there, it also sounds like it's straight out of Leave it to Beaver. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this whole plot was based on an episode where Wally decides he wants to move out.
[edit] Man About Town
What's going on here? Veronica and Smithers are facing away and throwing in the opposite direction. Mr. Lodge is only using one hand and it looks as if he's just shooting from the hip with a single pointed finger. Veronica looks like she's bowling. Smithers looks like he's disco dancing. It's just a mess here.
